Listing Criteria

What we look for

We list restaurants of all sizes and formats — from fine dining temples to neighbourhood gems. The common thread is a clear point of view, consistent quality, and genuine hospitality.

Clear Culinary Identity

A defined cuisine, concept or chef's vision that sets the restaurant apart. We value restaurants that know what they are.

Consistent Quality

Exceptional food executed reliably, not just on good days. Our scoring is based on multiple visits for top-tier listings.

Genuine Hospitality

Service that is attentive, knowledgeable and warm — not just efficient. We value restaurants that make guests feel like guests.

Value at its Price Point

From ₹ to ₹₹₹₹, we expect every restaurant to deliver value commensurate with what it charges.

"

We do not accept payment for listing, ranking, or featuring any restaurant. Every submission is reviewed on merit alone — and every meal is paid for by our editors.

Common Questions

Before you submit

Is there a cost to be listed on Fine Dine India?

No — listing on Fine Dine India is completely free. We do not accept payment for placement, ranking, or coverage in any form. Every listing is earned through editorial merit.

How long does the review process take?

We aim to review all submissions within 2–4 weeks. If your restaurant is shortlisted for a visit, the visit and subsequent listing process may take an additional 4–8 weeks.

My restaurant is not in one of your eight cities. Can I still submit?

Currently we only cover Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Goa. We plan to expand to additional cities and will announce new editions on our newsletter.

Will you let me know the outcome of my submission?

We notify all shortlisted restaurants before a visit. If your restaurant is not shortlisted at this time, we may revisit your submission in a future cycle as our coverage expands.

Can I submit a restaurant I don't own or manage?

Yes — readers and diners can also nominate restaurants they love. Simply fill in the form with as much detail as you have. Our editors will follow up directly with the restaurant if shortlisted.

What cuisine types and formats do you cover?

We cover all formats — fine dining, casual, contemporary, traditional, street-food concepts with a permanent home, bars with serious food programmes, and everything in between. Quality is the only filter.
